I’ve been pretty diligent about watering my plants and making sure they get adequate sun. I think it’s working out okay so, far. Here are a few recent pictures from my urban garden. Recently I’ve moved the location of my pots in order to better catch the sun. We had a few rainy days and since then we’ve had lots of sun. I’ve been watering daily, but wondering if I should water 2x a day on extremely hot days — any gardeners out there care to give advice?
I’ve cut off a couple of snippets of basil to use in sandwiches and it felt so good to eat something from my own yard. I can’t wait till I’m eating delicious summer sweet tomatoes that I grew! As you can see from the pictures, my tomato plant still has a ways to go until its giving me delicious fruit, but I am definitely counting down the days.
Looks awesome!
Not too much water or water it before certain times of day, like before the hottest time (11 am or before is usually ideal) to keep it from killin the plant. Don’t leave it lingering in the sun too much if you have to, keep it in the shade on triple temperature days. I’ve had days where it burnt the leaves but that was in AZ, not sure about here. Let me know how it comes out!
Thanks Liza!
