31 Days of Project 30
Posted on: December 1, 2012
Today is December 1st. Where did the year go?! If you are anything like me, you are a little bit in denial that we’ve entered the last month of 2012. But here we are. I’ve decided that I might as well go all out during this last month of the year and commit to posting content each day of the month. No promises what that content will be – it might be just a photo along with a short tag, but there will be something! Today, I am going to kick things off by introducing my next food project. I’m going to try a modified version of freezer cooking this upcoming week. The idea behind freezer cooking is to spend a couple of hours organizing and preparing multiple meals at a time. Then you put all the vegetables (chopped) and meat in labeled freezer bags and then freeze it until the day you are ready to prepare. I’m going to combine freezer cooking with my love of the super easy crockpot and each meal will be prepared in the crockpot.
This upcoming week, I’m going to prepare for four meals. I have a work trip at the end of the week and will probably have leftovers or eat out at least once. So four meals should feed me, with a couple of lunches as well. Look for a future post with more details, but right now I’m planning on making (remember this is all in the CrockPot):
Meals 3 and 4 TBD. Keep on the lookout!
