I decided it was high time that I attacked another item on THE List. That is why I am now signed up for a 7:15 am Bar Method class at Bar Method DC. What is the Bar Method, you ask? It’s a body sculpting workout that is apparently a mix of pilates with some dance methods thrown in there. I will provide more detail during my follow up after the class, but the website promises a “uniquely lean, firm, sculpted body.” We shall see, my friends.
I’m writing this post before the class to ensure that I go. Yes, I’ve paid for it ($10 for first timers – not bad at all!) but it’s at 7:15am and if you know me, you know that I do not like mornings. You know those new Tropicana DC-themed OJ ads that are sprouting up all over the city? One says: “it took an act of Congress to get you out of bed this morning.” Yeah, that pretty much sums up what happens in my bedroom each and every weekday. It would be embarrassing if I embarrassed easily. So it will be a bit of a challenge for me to leave my warm bed at 6am on Tuesday morning (a full hour and a half before I normally attempt to start getting out of bed). But now that I’ve told the universe (or you know, the ten people that read this) that I’ve made a plan, I will stick to it.
