A couple months ago, I was introduced to Chelsea Collective – a new women’s fitness boutique located in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Chelsea Collective offers women the chance to outfit themselves from head to toe. There are classic brands like Nike, Adidas, Under Armor and emerging brands such as Lorna Jane, Spiritual Gangster, Alternative or Calia by Carrie Underwood that are up and coming or in some cases exclusive to Chelsea Collective (of course I’ve suggested that Oiselle is a perfect fit for the store!). I had a chance to check out the store and an opportunity to host a fun bootcamp for runners recently and I wanted to share my experience!
First thing to know: the store is gorgeous. It’s bright and full of clean lines and gorgeous displays. It’s a really inviting place to shop. From shoes, to pants, to tops, Chelsea Collective is basically a store full of all the athleisure gear your heart desires. I was particularly fond of the wall of sports bras – I can often have a hard time finding a solid sports bra that works for me and I’ve found two great ones at Chelsea Collective. The store will do a full sports bra fitting which is SO helpful. FYI, for larger bust gals, both Panache & the Calia line of bras have worked very well for me – and I mean I’ve run marathons wearing them!
Second thing to know: it’s not just fitness gear. In addition to all the cool fitness items you can buy, there are also seasonal items that are pretty cool. For example, I purchased a pair of Sorel boots while I was in the store because they were cute but more importantly (okay, AS important) they will be great for the winter snow and ice. I’d never actually heard of the brand before, but LOVE my new boots.
Final thing to know: the bootcamp I hosted is not out of the ordinary – Chelsea Collective hosts community events quite frequently and they are always FREE! In fact, the Tysons Corner outpost is going to be doing weekly bootcamps led by Trainer Ali (who kicked our butts!). If you are in the area, visit Chelsea Collective on Facebook to stay up to date and try out an event.
We had SUCH fun at the bootcamp. It was truly a booty kicker and I was definitely sore the next day! I will be making my way back to Chelsea Collective very soon – both for shopping and working out.
Have you ever participated in an in-store boot camp? Ours kicked my butt!
