Chicago Marathon training week four is in the books! Each week during this training cycle, I will share how my training went and what the week looked like. I do this because: 1) I love reading about how other folks train and 2) it’s great for me to have a record of what I did each week. Also, honestly, it helps keep me accountable when I know I’ll be writing about it. I also post almost all of my runs on Instagram as well. On to the recap!
Monday: Pure Barre after work.
Tuesday: 5 miles at the track with Catilin. I joined her on the track for her speed workout, but I just ran easy. It was a good morning and she KILLED her workout!
Wednesday: Early morning Pure Barre Platform class.
Thursday: 3 easy solo miles. I ran a bit later than I like to but the weather was nice so I didn’t mind it much.
Friday: 4.4 easy miles with my Pure Barre run club gals. It was HUMID and so we basically ran from sprinkler to sprinkler in a desperate search for shade and water. The sprinkler run was fun!
Saturday: 5.1 with my Saturday run group. The weather was absolutely perfect and our run through the city was fun.
Sunday: 3.5 easy Sunday miles. Can not believe it’s already the Fourth of July – hope you all celebrated well and had a restful weekend!
Total mileage for the week: 21.05 miles
Total mileage for the year: 610.94 miles
Total mileage for this training cycle: 70.45 miles
Anyone run a Fourth of July race this year?
note: I am running the Chicago Marathon in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities. If you’d like to help support this amazing organization, you can do so here. Thank you!
