DC Blogger Brunch Recap

August 10, 2015 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC52 Comments

This past weekend, Cynthia, Mar and I (also known as the DC Trifecta and my cohosts for the Friday Five) hosted our first DC Blogger Brunch. We invited any local DC area bloggers who blog about fitness in some capacity to join us for a fun brunch at Matchbox in the Chinatown area of DC. We gathered together a few prizes to be raffled off and hoped folks would come. We ended up having nearly fifteen bloggers join us for brunch and just had the BEST time eating, drinking and getting to know each other. DC Blogger Brunch Are you curious about what happens at a blogger brunch? Well, for starters, this…

And this…

2015-08-08 12.19.10

And more gabbing than you can imagine! It was so nice to meet some new faces and see some gals I hadn’t seen in awhile. We talked running, blogging, life, and more while munching on delicious food and having a couple of cocktails. We raffled off a free Pure Barre class pack, a six pace of juice from South Block Juice Company, free classes at Zengo, shorts and gear from SOAS, Rove hydration, and SOS hydration.

It was honestly just the funnest morning. Such a relaxing, refreshing experience to share time with like minded, interesting, smart, fun women. I can’t wait until we do it again!

Check out the whole group:

From back left (so you all can put faces to names like we got to!): Anna, Colleen, Kylie, Sharita, YOURS TRULY, Diatta, CoCo, Alexis, Mar, Sue, Lauren, Cynthia, Chaitali, and Bri. If you don’t already follow these, women, please do. You won’t regret it.

Thanks to my cohosts for being awesome ladies, excellent friends and just all around inspirations. I truly love both these women!

Have you ever gone to or hosted a blogger brunch? Did I make you wish you lived in DC so you could come to our next one? πŸ™‚

Yes! You made me sad I didn’t start blogging actively while I lived in DC. I’m north of Philly now and if there’s an active group of bloggers locally I haven’t stumbled upon them yet. MRTT isn’t as big up here, either. There’s a chapter but they’re not really active. I love following you guys virtually, though.
