So…I’m getting married (yay!) and we are so excited! I’m just starting to dip my baby toe in the world of weddings and I keep seeing lots of references to bridal expos. Is this something that regular people do? I’m not talking about the free ones — those seem great! But I’ve seen some expos charging 40 or 50 to enter — what the what?! I just can not imagine paying that much to go and meet people that I may potentially pay a lot of money to help me. I kinda think they should be paying me to impress me and try and get my business! Joking. Kind of.
So help a newly engaged gal out — are these things a must do? A nice to have? Or a waste of time? Of course, (as you may have guessed since my “wedding” tab is empty) we haven’t even begun in the planning stage yet. But of course, because I’m me, I’m already reading everything I can on the interwebs about planning a wedding. I’m definitely leaning towards “nice to have.” Meaning, I’ll go to free bridal expos if they seem interesting but I’m definitely not paying to go to any. Unless y’all convince me otherwise.
Do people really go to these things? And why the heck are they so expensive???
