Day 4 of 31 Days of Project 30!
So, have you jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon yet? For those of you who haven’t yet, here’s a quick synopsis: Pinterest is basically an online cork board where you can “pin” different things you find interesting. My sister turned me on to Pinterest last Christmas and once I finally gave it a shot (after complaining I already had too much social media in my life), I found I was hooked.
I primarily use the site for discovering new recipes. Yes, you can get the same information from google but on Pinterest you can keep all those recipes in one convenient place. Have you ever wanted to make delicious Red Lobster style Cheddar Bay Biscuits? Look at that picture – you know you do. I found the recipe on Pinterest.
What about pot roast in your crock pot? Yep, I used a recipe from Pinterest and it was absolutely delicious. Are you making mashed potatoes from scratch for the very first time and don’t want to mess it up (maybe hypothetically speaking because you are feeding ten people)? Bam. Pinterest again.
So, what if you are not a foodie and hate cooking? Does Pinterest offer anything you may be interested in? Yep. There are literally thousands of DIY projects on Pinterest. Not to mention fashion and hair inspiration, exercise tips and plans, decor ideas, gift ideas, etc. Many major retailers and magazines have great Pinterest accounts where they post interesting items (often straight from the magazine). A couple favorites of mine are Williams & Sonoma and Real Simple. There you have it. Pinterest in a nutshell. Who are your favorite pinners? Anyone great I should start following?
