Five Brands I Love

April 16, 2015 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC55 Comments

Happy Friday!  Hope everyone had a great week! Today kicks off an especially busy weekend for me. I have a 5k race Friday evening, the NorthFace Endurance Marathon Relay Saturday morning and Saturday is also K’s birthday (and the anniversary of our first date). Whew! It’s going to be jam packed! The theme this week is Five Brands to Love. Per usual, I’m linking up with my girls Cynthia and Mar for the #Friday Five. You can read our linkup rules here. Please note that if you don’t play nicely, we will delete your link  note: this post contains affiliate links.

Five Brands to Love

  1. Garmin. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen that I’m kind of obsessed with my new Garmin watch. I upgraded to the Forerunner 220 and I love it. My most favorite thing? It syncs up wirelessly so I don’t have to plug it in to get my runs on Strava. Love that so much! I also love that it takes no time to get a signal. Literally. Sometimes I get a signal when I’m still getting ready to run in my bathroom. And yes, my bathroom has a window, but still. It is just so much better than my old Garmin. Love love love.
  2. Oiselle. Well this shouldn’t be a surprise. I love their clothes but more than that, I love their philosophy about running and women. I’ve met the best group of women through being a part of the Oiselle team and developed relationships I’ll cherish forever. I am on the Oiselle team but have never been asked to blog about the brand. I wear the clothes and pump Oiselle because they are fantastic.
  3. Kimpton hotels. My favorite hotel brand by far. I love how Kimpton’s are unique, comfortable and the staff is superb. Kimpton does an excellent job of building customer loyalty and I’m always impressed by their team. Plus, they are super dog friendly and that’s a definite plus in my book.
  4. Miss Jessie’s. This is my new favorite brand of hair products and if you have curly hair it is a must try! So fair I’ve just tried the Curly Pudding and I’m obsessed. It helps define my curls and smells amazing!
  5. Zensah. Ah. My glorious calf sleeves. I love this brand because they have an excellent product and their customer service is second to none. I am on the Zensah team but have never been asked to write about them – I’m just really obsessed with my Zensah sleeves.

What brands are you loving right now? Share!!

No surprise here, but I also love Oiselle! I am thrilled that I have formed so many new friendships since joining the Flock. It really is a sisterhood of sport.

Other favorites: Nuun (not just because I’m on their team–I just really, really love their product!), J.Crew (the preppy in me will never die), and Warby Parker. I am also a fan of Kimpton hotels–we recently stayed at the Palomar in Philadelphia and really enjoyed it.

My Garmin is starting to slow down getting it’s signal. I need to delete my runs off of it. It’s the most basic watch so it doesn’t have a lot of storage.

Have fun at your 5K and North Face Marathon Relay this weekend! I’m looking forward to reading your marathon recap.

This will probably come as a shock but I haven’t tried Oiselle clothes! I hear the best things so I feel like I should remedy that.
My Garmin is probably my most important piece of running gear other than my trusty New Balance.

I’m considering the 220 for my next watch, either way it’ll be Garmin. Great list! Some of these brands I actually know of and others I have only heard of through other bloggers.

Thanks for co-hosting the Friday Five! This is such a great topic. It was really, really hard to narrow down to just five brands. I’m a huge fan of Garmin, as well – my Garmin has literally changed my running life. How did we ever run without them!?!?!? Oiselle has some really high-quality gear – I would buy lots of it if I could afford it! I have a pair of Zensah compression sleeves which are nice, too. I’ve never heard of the other two brands so it’s cool to learn about them!

Kimpton is such a great hotel line. We stayed at one for the first time in San Francisco on our honeymoon, and we were absolutely sold on the brand. We’ve only been able to stay at one other location since, but it is our first choice if one is available in the area to which we are traveling.
