Happy Friday! In honor of Good Friday, the Friday Five theme this week is five good things. I can’t wait to see all the interpretations of this purposely vague theme! I decided to just share five good things that were in my head this week. 🙂 Per usual, I’m linking up with my girls Cynthia and Mar for the #Friday Five. You can read our linkup rules here. Please note that if you don’t play nicely, we will delete your link. Have a wonderful weekend!!
- He is Risen. I love Easter – I love celebrating the resurrection of Christ. If you are a believer, you understand the significance of Easter Sunday. I pray that you all have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Easter Sunday. On a side note, if you happen to be in the DC Metro area and are looking for a friendly, God-loving, people loving, fun and relevant church to celebrate Easter Sunday, I’d love to have you join me at my church. We meet both in NE DC and in Kingstowne (Alexandria), VA. I’d love to see you there!
- Spring is here. Thank goodness, I think spring has come around for good in DC. I’m so pleased and I hope it stays for awhile!
- Racing season has begun. April is the unofficial kickoff to the racing season with lots of fun races (Cherry Blossom, Paris Marathon, Boston!!!) that either I’m running or a friend is running. I love live streaming Boston so that’s what I’ll be doing on April 20th.
- Survived my second juice cleanse. As I write this, I’m finishing my last juice of my second juice cleanse. I chose not to blog about the cleanse this time (but you can read my blog posts about the first time I cleansed here) since I figured not much would be different. Overall, I think the cleanse was definitely easier this second time around because I knew what to expect. I didn’t stop working out and so in addition to the six juices, I ate a Larabar each day of the cleanse to make sure I was taking in enough calories. I’m excited for the reset in my cravings and happy that my second juice cleanse went just as well as my first.
- Remembering why I love DC. This week I had an awesome run around the monuments on a beautiful day that reminded me just how lucky I am to live in this city. DC life is good.
What’s good in your world this week?
My race season is winding down. Only a few weeks left until it’s too warm, unless I travel north. Always a GOOD idea. Honestly, I had a hard time with the GOOD theme…because everything’s good. HA, Enjoy your Easter weekend!

This has been a fun week of running and getting ready to host our family Easter. Excited to have the family together because I certainly don’t think we do it enough. Happy Easter Courtney!
Happy Easter! It’s been a good week. Feeling positive about family and friends and running getting back on track! Thanks for hosting the link-up!
I wish I could attend church on Easter but unfortunately I have to work this year. That juice clense sounds intense. I don’t know if I could do that. Congrats for doing it. Happy Easter!
Good in my world this week was receiving compliments from colleagues on a job well done. Compliments go a long way !

Yay to living in DC! I’m so jealous of your running routes sometimes. I already ran a race in DC but I’ll probably try to run a few more there because it’s so much fun!

Springtime in DC is amazing. My daughter had her 5th grade trip there last year right as the cherry blossoms were blooming. In all the years and times of years we have been to DC, never have I seen the cherry blossoms in bloom! It was beautiful! Have a wonderful weekend!! 🙂

It looks like DC really is an amazing place to get to run! I hope to make it up there for a race sometime soon (Cherry Blossom I’m looking at you!). Hope your spring weather holds and great job on the juice reset!
Happy Easter and yay for spring!! I hope to see you around the CUCB events.

Happy Easter! One of my favorite Sundays of the year 🙂 What’s good in my world is that today is my last day of work before maternity leave starts (and hopefully my baby will decide to come before I have to get induced next week!)
Our running season is winding down after this month. i have my last half marathon of this season in two weeks and then I’m dry for a while. Honestly, unless I was to travel up North for a race, it’d be way too hot to run anything more than a 5k here in FL. It’s just too miserable to run after that point.
Looking forward to hearing all about your races though.

Thank you for hosting Five Good Things! I do love Easter as it’s an important time to slow down and reflect on how blessed we have been as a nation. It also helps me put my training runs (good and bad) in perspective! Cherry Blossom and Paris sound like a great way to welcome spring! I can’t wait to read those recaps! 🙂 Happy Easter!
