Friday Five: Favorite Fitness Activities

March 27, 2014 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC22 Comments

Happy Friday! Per usual, I’m linking up with my girls Mar and Cynthia and this week we are focusing on our favorite fitness activities. This will be a fun one! There are tons of fitness activities out there and I’m so excited to read what everyone enjoys doing. The hardest thing for me was narrowing down my list to just five things. 🙂

Friday Five Fitness

Disclaimer: obviously running is my FAVORITE fitness activity but it felt like a cop out to say that because if you’ve ever been to my blog before or met me, you already know that! What a lot of you may not know that for over two years, I was the captain of a coed social football team. It was by far my favorite fitness activity at the time and while I no longer play in a league, I’m always down for a pick up game. I just realized that between “long walks with my pup” and the mention of the ocean, this kinda sounds like a singles’ ad. Sorry not sorry. 🙂

Link up and share your favorite fitness activities or whatever Friday Five post you’d like to share! As a reminder: the point of this link up is to share Friday Five posts only. Please don’t link up to your blog in general (without a link to a specific post), don’t link up a random giveaway post and please refer back to the linkup in your post — not doing so is poor form.

I love long walks with my pup too. I just wish she walked a little bit better. I usually have to tire her out by running a lap around the park before she really starts to walk “nicely”!

Oh that’s really smart — my little girl gets really excited anytime we’re outside. Unless it’s raining. Then she’s not having it – LOL.

Happy Friday! Your singles ad comment was hilarious! When I train out of Dangerfield, I always see the co-ed football teams playing – they always seem like they are having a great time! I just like watching haha.

LOL about the singles ad comment. I didn’t think about it, but after I reread your list I started laughing. My friend told me about a Dancing 5K – how fun would THAT be?!

I also love walks with my pup, in fact I just returned from one! Swimming is a great for of exercise, and won’t it be nice when the weather cooperates and we can start swimming in an outdoor pool! Last of all, I love your photo in the tutu on your sidebar. Tutu runners unite!

I wish I could enjoy walking but I just have never been able to. I tried a lot when I was injured from running and it just made me mad that I couldn’t run! Maybe if we got a dog it would be more fun! 🙂

Well, it that situation I probably wouldn’t like it either 🙂 It helps that I live in a really walkable city. And the dog helps as well 🙂

I’ve only tried one barre class and didn’t love it, but I plan on checking out more online. I’m also a GIANT flag football fan and am super sad there isn’t a league here. Would totally respond to your singles ad if we could have a pick up game 🙂

Barre is hard, but as a runner I LOVE how it strengthens my body. Aw so sad there are no leagues in your area 🙁
