If you know me, you know that I LOVE to read. I’ve always loved to read. I was the kid who snuck a flashnight under her covers to stay up reading Nancy Drew books. I was the kid who wouldn’t stop bringing BSC (Baby Sitter’s Club – don’t act like you don’t know!) books to dinner. I was the kid who spent the vast majority of my weekends from ages 8-15 checking out a ridiculous number of books from the library and reading all day. R.L. Stine, Christopher Pike, Stephen King, Judy Blume, etc. I could go on forever. Suffice to say, that I’m a reader.
I just figured out how to borrow kindle books from the DC Public Library and let me say how excited I am! I love my local NE DC library and now I can get books sent directly to my kindle – AWESOME! I’ve thought about joining a book club but have always been turned off because of the pressure. I guess I’m stubborn – I just want to read what I want to read when I want to read it. Thanks to my friend A, I’ve been reintroduced to Goodreads and I’m sort of using that as my own personal bookclub.
I’m looking for some new, awesome books to read in the new year. I just finished the Hunger Games triology and of course, I loved it. So, if you’ve read something you really enjoyed lately, would you let me know? And if you are a kindle owner, would you let me borrow it? 🙂
