First, did any of y’all catch the “My Adidas” reference? I know someone had to, right??? If you have no idea what I’m talking about, please see below. 🙂
Anyhow, on to my new Adidas. You may have seen on social media that I’ve been sporting some new kicks lately. In case you haven’t, here they are. Aren’t they beautiful?
I’ve actually trained for the past year or so in Adidas Glide Boost shoes so I was familiar with the brand. When JD Sports contacted me and asked me if I wanted to try out the new Adidas Energy Boost 2 shoes, I said of course. I needed some new shoes and wanted to see if I would stick with the Boost 2 or go back to my Glide Boost for marathon training. The Boost 2 are more performance shoes meant for runs not quite as long as some of the runs I’ll be doing in marathon training. I really like the Boost 2 – here’s what Adidas says about them:
Picture the best run you’ve ever had. Now picture it lighter, faster and with more energy. The all-new boost™ midsole on these women’s shoes gives you an amazingly soft and bouncy feel that isn’t over-cushioned, so you can run right past your current PB before you even knew you passed it. The techfit™ upper has a seamless, sock-like fit that stretches and flexes as you run, and a TPU cage gives the foot stability. With TORSION® SYSTEM support in the midfoot and a stable heel counter.
They are right – these are light and comfortable shoes. I’ve done tempo runs and speedwork in them and they are perfect for those runs. I personally need a bit more support for runs longer than 13 miles, but these are perfect for middle distances. Plus…they are super cute. The folks at JD Sports were so awesome to work with and super helpful and they pretty much have anything you might need in terms of shoes, gear or accessories.
What shoes are you rocking right now? Have you tried the Adidas Boost shoes yet? Ever ordered shoes online?
