When I saw that Fit Momma was doing a July Abs and Arms Challenge, I decided to jump into the fray. I was particulary pleased to see pushups on the challenge. A couple of years ago, I took boxing classes 2-3 times a week. This was not your typical LA Boxing boxing class (no offense to LA Boxing) — this was small classes of 5-7 men (mostly. Usually I was either 1 of 2 women or the only one) doing intense sparring. We also were subject to crazy workouts from our instructor…usually including a ridiculous amount of pushups. I once did 75 pushups in 3 minutes in that class. It was sick in the best way possible. I loved it. Sadly, I moved across town and just couldn’t make it to classes anymore. And once I stopped doing that, the pushups stopped as well. Sad face.
So I’m super excited to try this July challenge and to get back to kicking butt at pushups.
Do you do a different fitness challenge each month? Is it weird that I did Monday’s plank in my office? 🙂
