Love with Food Review

March 22, 2015 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC4 Comments

This post was sponsored by Sverve but my sincere love of snacks and opinions about snacks are allllll mine.

Let’s just get this out of the way. I love food. I mean, the first word of my blog name is “Eat.” So when I had the opportunity to try the subscription snack box delivery service Love with Food, I was all in. If you are not familiar with subscription boxes and how they work, let me give you a quick primer. Typically, you pay a set fee and receive a box of varied items in the mail each month. Subscription boxes are crazy popular now and there are food boxes, boxes for running items, boxes for pets and the list goes on. I’ve tried a couple of boxes in the past but nothing stuck. I liked what I was receiving but not enough to get a new box each month. Read on to hear why Love With Food is different.

Love with Food Snack Box Review

The first thing that drew me to Love with Food is the back story. The company’s founder, Aihiu Ong, ventured out in the world following a divorce and traveled and ate and experienced to her heart’s delight. Along the way, she witnessed poverty that broke her heart and left her committed to doing something about it. After returning to the US, she was able to help a friend battling cancer by cooking for her. She expressed her love with food…and an idea was born. Today Love with Food gives back by donating a meal to a food bank in the US with every box that’s sold. Yes, you read that correctly. I was so excited both to support a company founded by a woman with a dream (I can relate) and to support a company that is giving back and making a difference.

As you can see, there are three different price points to choose from. In my box (the tasting box), every single snack but one was gluten free and every single snack was vegan, which is awesome for folks with food sensitivities. The box came with a cute insert explaining what each item was which I found particularly helpful since a number of the brands were new to me. My two favorite snacks are pictured below…SO delicious!!

So are you curious? You should 100% support this fantastic company – and eat yummy snacks! The awesome folks at Love with Food have given me a special code for you all – your first box will be FREE (just pay $2 shipping fee). Use this link and give Love with Food a try!

Have you ever tried a subscription box?

My family didn’t like the graham crackers but I enjoyed them a lot. I am going to hit the chips tonight.

I absolutely loved my box too and I think the story behind it is key for me. I would much rather give my money to something that supports our community than not!

These look good! I think it’s super cool that it’s a cause that really has a lot of heart and thought and compassion behind it. I’m going to think about trying it. Would you say it was worth it?
