Welcome to my third post in a new monthly series where I will share my blog income and stats with you. I was inspired to do this because I know of some bigger bloggers (like Pinch of Yum) who share their income and stats but I really didn’t see any smaller bloggers (like me! and maybe you!) who do so. I figured if I was looking for something that I wasn’t willing to publish myself that was pretty messed up so decided that I’d start sharing my monthly stats and income. Here’s November’s blog income report – I hope you find this helpful!
You can find September’s report here and October’s report here. I’m proud that for November, both stats and income have continued to rise. In October I had 38k pageviews…for the month of November, I had a whopping 57k pageviews. One interesting thing I noticed is that the number of pages per session (remember sessions are the number of different visits by all users) are increasing. In October that number was 2.4 and in November that number was 2.75. So far in December, that number is 4.2. This means that people are visiting a number of different pages and posts while they are here on the blog. As you can see below, I’ve also had an increase in sessions and users, which is great. I will be interested to see what these numbers look like for December because I was gone for a whole week – while I had amazing guest posters, I do think my traffic suffers when I’m not engaging on social media.
On to income. I did make some money in November, which was a nice change from October’s income report. As I mentioned last month, I have decided to list ad income in the month it’s earned and sponsored post, affiliate, etc. income in the month in comes in. So with that, here’s the summary of my stats for the month of November:
Ad income: 18.73 (BlogHer) + 22.95 (Adsense) = 41.68
Affiliate income: 24
Sponsored post: 200
Total November income: $265.68
Total November pageviews: 57,385
I’m pleased by this increase but know that I could up my ad income if I optimized my site for ads – however, I honestly just haven’t had the time to figure out how to do this yet (when I do, you can bet I’ll share what I learn in a Blogger Tip Tuesday post). Until I do, I’m just hoping my ad income money will stay steady or rise (I’m just hoping for no decrease in that area). I’m expecting some other affiliate income to come in during the month of December, which will help me finish start my Christmas shopping. I also have a couple of sponsored posts coming up and once those run, that income should come in around late January / early Feb. It’s fun to know that I have sources of income coming up.
What are your blogging stats / income goals for the new year?
Interesting thanks for sharing all the info-I am just learning all of this so it is helpful. Do you look at avg session time as well?

haha, it took me awhile to get to november since i was gone the first week of december – it threw me off!
I still feel I am testing the waters in the whole blogger world. I haven’t even been doing it for 6 months, but I am enjoying every second of it. I enjoy reading your blogger tips and income stats. I hope to get to that one day.

Thanks again for sharing your stats! My stats have slowly been on the rise, although they are nowhere as close to where yours are (but you’ve also been blogging longer). My October page views were actually higher than my November ones, but I’m attributing the slight decline to a number of factors, including it being Thanksgiving and I was busier, which meant I didn’t have as much time to interact with others via Social Media and on other blogs. Hopefully things will slow down a bit in January and I can increase my interaction again1

Way to go Courtney – so impressed with you 🙂 Did you see significant changes after your redesign? The stats nerd in me would have fun with some regression analysis haha.
