My Smitten Kitchen meatballs were a total success. I was a bit unsure, especially since it looked like they were a bit burned on the outside, but they ended up being delightfully crunchy on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside. I will definitely be making these again!
All the ingredients — the fresh bread crumbs are already in the bowl. I also used cayenne pepper, 1 egg, coriander sesame seeds, cumin, salt, pepper and water. And of course a pound of ground turkey.
My meatballs weren’t totally uniform, but they were totally tasty! This was right before they went in the pan on the stovetop. After coming off the stovetop, they went in a 400 degree oven for ten minutes. Then they went in my mouth. Quickly. These bad boys were delicious!
I served them with a spinach salad. I had planned to serve roasted sweet potatoes as well, but they were
forgotten left in the oven a bit too long, so no picture.
I highly recommend trying these out. I really enjoyed them and they were the perfect meal while watching my Crimson Tide trounce Notre Dame. Speaking of successes…
