This weekend marked my ten year law school reunion. I can’t believe it’s ten years since I’ve graduated from law school! I spent the weekend in Charlottesville, catching up with old friends and enjoying one of my happy places. I did not run while I was in Charlottesville, but I danced my butt off! π As you may remember, I will still be running (and even doing a couple of races) in between now and when I start training for the Berlin Marathon. But Iβll primarily be focused on cross training and keeping my base level of running up. Iβm running a few days a week before training gets going in a couple of weeks. In that spirit, I will continue to enjoy all of your training recaps, so please do keep linking up! This is a low-key link up, but if you participate regularly, link back to this blog. Now on to the maintenance training recap!
Monday: Pure Barre! It was great to be back at the barre.
Tuesday: rest
Wednesday: Easy 5k after work because the weather was stunning.
Thursday: rest
Friday: 6.3
Saturday / Sunday: LOTS of walking / dancing and general shenanigans in Charlottesville. Such fun and it really made me miss law school.
Total mileage for the week: 9.41 miles
Total mileage for the year: 471.07 miles
This week was the fewest number of miles I’ve run (outside of being sick) in awhile but I was okay with it because…marathon training starts in two weeks, y’all! I’ll be sharing my plan and I’ll be sharing my goal time for Berlin as well. I’ve really enjoyed this break from training and I’m excited to start working towards my goals for Berlin!
Do you go to your college / grad school reunions?

Sounds like an awesome week and weekend!
I went to my 10 year high school reunion, but have never been to a college reunion. My best girlfriends are from college and even though we all live in different states, we try to get together a few times a year for mini reunions!
That’s fun, Kim! I love getting together with friends from college – we haven’t done it in awhile though. Hmmm…
I’ve been to a few reunions, both high school and college but I don’t go regularly. I see my high school friends fairly often and with Facebook, it’s easy to keep up with everyone!
Yes, fb is good but spending time together is so so much better! π
I’ll be having my 10 year college reunion next year…I really can’t believe it! I’m glad you had a fun time at your reunion. I look forward to seeing your plan for Berlin!

Time truly does fly by! My 15 year college reunion is in two years!!
Great pics and keep up the running … love your post and your positive attitude …
i graduated in Panama at a DOD school Balboa High School … they have reunions in Florida but i have not attended any ..My wife whom i went to HS with has been to 2 of them .. She says “everyone gets older but only a few have grown up” … I am not sure i have even made the grown up list either…
Good luck in Germany!!
Ha, that’s hilarious! And thank you for the well wishes!
Its always fun to reach milestones and look back/celebrate all of the good that has happened since then. Can you imagine your 20 year reunion?!?

Wellllll my 15 year college reunion is in 2 years. So those unimaginable numbers are getting closer, which is wild!
It sounds like you had a fun reunion! Bill and I do go to our VT reunions. It’s easier for us since we were in the same graduating class.

That’s so sweet. I love you two π
It sounds like you had a lot of fun over the weekend! I’ve never gone to any reunions (high school, college, or grad school). My 20 year high school is this summer but we live out of state and won’t be home for it, so I’ll be missing that one, too. I’m not sure how in the world it’s been 20 years since I graduated from high school, though.
Time sure does fly, right? I can’t believe how quickly it all seems to go by…
No college reunions for me. However, I still keep in touch with a few of them and we are trying to get together for dinner once every two months.
I am excited to read about your Berlin training plan and goal!!!
I’m a Hokie but I do have to admit that Charlottesville is beautiful! I actually set my half marathon PR in a small race there last winter. I bet you had the best time!
Can’t wait to hear about your Berlin training – it’s coming up so soon!
I wish my college had reunions. This was 10 years since Clay and I graduated with our bachelors and I wish it was a reunion. I don’t go to my high school’s because I really didn’t have many friends in high school and the ones I did have were in different grades, so they wouldn’t necessarily be at the reunion. I think it’s so neat you guys had a reunion though! Glad you got some workouts in and probably good to take it easy a bit before marathon training kicks into high gear!
YES! I realized last night that training starts next week, not in two weeks, lol!
Dancing definitely counts as a full body workout!! Glad you had so much fun at the reunion! I studied in the UK and as I am now in Botswana it’s too far to travel for the reunions but thankfully I have kept in touch with so many friends so I know what everyone is up to! (Thank you Facebook! Lol)
Time flies when you’re having fun! I’ve been to one college reunion and zero grad school reunions (I don’t think they have them?). I love going to high school reunions and don’t miss any of those.
Awesome recap! They are opening a Pure Barre studio here in Rochester, MN FINALLY!!! And I cannot wait. I have heard nothing but great things about it.
Oh awesome – I hope you love it!
Sounds like a fun weekend! (Glad you were able to get in some good workouts to-no big deal on the fewer miles since berlin marathon training starts up soon. I’m looking forward to following you along that journey!
I’ve never been to any of my reunions. I can’t explain why. I really do not have any desire to go back. On the other hand, it has been super important for my husband and we’ve attended all of his high school and medical school reunions. We’ve had a blast at all of them! Can’t wait to follow your Berlin training!
I have never been to a college reunion, but I recently attended my high school reunion! We spent most of it saying – “can you believe it’s been 30 years???” no, I cannot. Ugh!! At least I feel like I have improved since high school, so there’s that π
It was a lot of fun to see where people ended up on their life journey.
