The Drop 10 Challenge

I’ve been working out with a friend every Tuesday night for a few weeks. We meet at her building’s gym and do our thing. A week or so ago, I came across some strength moves courtesy of Self Magazine. I ripped out the page and my girls and I gave it a shot at our weekly workout session. As I’ve mentioned before, I struggle with regularly doing strength workouts. I’ve decided to commit to 2-3 strength workouts weekly to help tone up. Some of those will be based on the Drop 10 Challenge I pulled from Self. But in order to keep myself entertained, I’ve found the best Pinterest board ever. Fitness Blender posts tons of free exercise videos – from 15 minute barre workouts to 86 minute full body exercises that I imagine may make me cry.

So in addition to regular running (2-3 times a week, although this week I’m taking it easy and tapering for the Nike Women’s 1/2 Marathon on Sunday), I will try my hand at either a Drop 10 workout or an awesome Fitness Blender routine.

Of course as I write this, I’m headed out of town for a week long work trip that will involve 6:30am meetings and long days. So a perfect time to start, right?:)

Work trips constantly get in the way of routine if you ask me 🙂 I know you’ll be able to find a different routine though. So excited to hear how it goes on Sunday – I’m in awe of all you do.

Aw, thanks Kilara! I was able to get in a run yesterday and I’ll do some a drop 10 workout tonight and then there’s a 5k here Thursday — then just stretching till the race 🙂
