Turkey Trottin’

November 28, 2013 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC6 Comments

Happy Thanksgiving! Today’s post is short and sweet, I just wanted to share a picture from the SOME Turkey Trot K and I ran this morning. I’ve run this race for the past few years and today’s race was definitely the coldest I’ve ever experienced. I don’t know if the temperature reached freezing and the winds were chillllly. Brrrrr. Good thing we ran fast!

It’s a Thanksgiving miracle! I totally PR’ed unexpectedly on this cold cold day (and my first real run post marathon). I’m not quite sure how that happened, and kinda want to check my official time to make sure, but I’ll take it!

I have so much to be thankful for — every day and not just today. I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving and long weekend!

Did you run a turkey trot this morning? Tell me about it!

Cold cold trot here, too! I wasn’t trying to PR at all, and just ran an easy, slow jog with my injured friend (hamstring problems). But I LOVED running in the cold!

This was the first year in a long time that we did not run a turkey trot! But we did go out for a nice 6 mile run with the dogs!
