This week was both my highest mileage week yet and the first time I ran two times in one day. I ran 30 miles this week and I’m not done peaking yet! I built a lot of confident this week and for the first time, I can actually envision running 26.2 miles.
M: Nike Training Club workout
T: AM: 4 miles with my running club. PM: 4.5 miles with Pacers running club. Wow. 2 a days are HARD. Not to mention, that the Pacers runners are fast. Like, 7-8 minute mile fast. Yeah, my legs were not moving at that speed after running that AM. Not at all. So yeah, that happened. But while it was hard, I appreciated being able to get high mileage in on a weekday and may just try it again 🙂
W: rest day
R: 3 dreadmill treadmill miles. Ugh. I hate that thing! It was pouring most of the day so I had no choice, but it was NOT fun.
F: 2-3 easy miles with my running club. I walked some of the run with a lady who is experiencing the same injury I’m working through and forgot to turn my app back on so I’m unsure exactly how far I ran.
S: rest day
Su: 16 miles! I ran 10 of my 16 with a new run buddy and that was awesome. The miles really did fly by and I so appreciated the company. We ran on the Crescent Trail to Bethesda, MD…
We made some new friends…
And, I was so so so glad to have a buddy for the majority of my miles!
While I was definitely very tired when I finished, I also felt confident that I could actually finish this marathon and not die! A great feeling 🙂
