Wedding Wednesday: The Reception, part 2

October 8, 2014 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC15 Comments

As promised last week, this week I’m bringing more awesome shots of our reception. First, let me say that we had the BEST DJ ever! DJ Rocklights (Bryan) was amazing and I got so many compliments about him. I was able to tell him our vision for different parts of the day (ceremony music, entrance, reception), give a few must play / do not play songs and then trust him to kill it. And he did — our dance floor was PACKED all night long and I loved every second of it. If you are planning a wedding, find a DJ you vibe with and can trust. It really does set the tone!

These next few might be a few of my favorites. Really captures the essence of us. πŸ™‚

And with that, I think I’m going to take a little Wedding Wednesday break. I will be back with some tips, recommendations and final thoughts of course. It was so fun to chart our engagement, wedding planning and share pictures from the best day ever with you all.

Aw you got some great shots! I think the DJ plays such a huge part of the reception! I took the DJs card at a wedding a year ago and still have it because he was so awesome!

So fun! I love when people all dance at receptions. And it was so nice that you were not messy with the cake giving it to your hubs. Did you guys discuss that before hand?

Can you get married again, please? I want to come! πŸ™‚ We definitely had some dancing at our reception, but hardly anyone participated for very long…bunch of duds – ha! Maybe we should have given them more liquor. πŸ™‚ These are great pictures; looks like SO much fun.
