This past weekend, I had the awesome chance to watch a dear friend get married. I was honored to serve as a bridesmaid for my friend A. She and her now-husband chose her parents home of Wilmington, NC as their wedding location and it was absolutely beautiful. With numerous outdoor events over the weekend, we all crossed our fingers for great weather and were much obliged!
A bunch of us Agnes folks rented a gorgeous home in downtown Wilmington for the weekend. I knew I loved it when I walked in and saw this on the wall:
On Friday evening, after the rehearsal, we all headed to the water for a rehearsal dinner boat cruise! The weather was gorgeous and it was a really nice way to kick off the weekend.
Then finally, it was wedding day! Us bridesmaids were at the bride’s house at 9am for hair, makeup and other bridal things. We were then whisked off to a B&B close to the church to get dressed and then arrived to the church in style via a beautiful white stretch limo. Considering that I got teary-eyed when A first stepped in her dress, I was very proud of myself for keeping it together during the ceremony. I’m not sure how much you’ll be able to see from the picture below, but A’s dress was gorgeous and she was stunning. B (the groom) and all his dudes looked sharp in their suits, with the teal blue ties that matched the bridesmaids dresses.
After the wedding comes the reception and man, did we have fun! Amazing food, continued good weather, a great band and good friends. It truly does not get any better. I even got in a run while in North Carolina!
What did you do over the weekend? Did you get in a run?
