Day 3 of 31 Days of Project 30!
So I recently did a 30 day challenge where the goal was to work out (in some form) for five days a week. All in all, I’d say I had a 80% success rate. For the first couple of weeks, it was a bit easier because I was playing two football games a week (one on Tuesday nights and one on Saturday mornings). With those games, that only left three workouts for me to actually think about myself. It went pretty well but I want to keep it up. Two things are helping me in this endevaour.
1. Biker Barre! I’ve blogged about my favorite studio in DC before, but in case you missed it you can find it here. Basically, I love this place. Sadly, it is just not always in my budget to go to classes but I’ve received some holiday blessings – lots of new spin teachers are hosting free classes AND I was sitting on a week of unlimited classes from a previous Gilt DC deal. So combining the two means I’ll be taking quite a few spin (and a couple barre) classes over the next few weeks. Yay!
2. The second thing is my recent upgrade to HD DirectTV. This means I get DirectTV on demand which means I get free (well, already paid for) access to super awesome workouts I can do in my living room. Yay! I plan on trying out a few for those lazy days where I can’t imagine leaving the house to workout. With the 60+ degree weather we’re having currently in DC, today is not one of those days. But it’s good to have backups.
What is your plan to avoid starting 2013 in the fitness red?
