As someone who genuinely loves blogging, I spend a lot of my time doing blog related things. Of course, some of my time is spent actually writing, editing, and brainstorming ideas for my actual blog. However, I also spend a good amount of time reading about blogging and thinking about blogging. The one thing I haven’t done yet is actually attend a blogging conference. Don’t think this is not on my radar – it is. But for some reason, most blog conferences I’m interested in attending are on the west coast. This DC gal can’t always fly across the country for another hobby — I already kinda do that for running and I think my husband would baulk (rightfully so) if I started doing that for blogging as well. Luckily, a great blogging conference is offering an amazing prize and this post is my entry.
Have you heard of fitbloggin? It’s held in Colorado each June and I’ve read amazing reviews. This year, the fitbloggin team is giving away a conference entry and I want to go. Why? And why might you be interested?
- The schedule is jam packed with quality sessions that I’m actually interested in attending. From a mini photography workshop to utilizing social media, there’s so much I’m interested in learning more about.
- The speakers are folks I respect. Let’s be real. I’m not interested in going to a conference to hear from someone who has a blog no one has heard of. I want to learn from folks who are doing it right – not people who are in the same (somewhat) newbie boat as me.
- Awesome workout opportunities. It is called fitbloggin after all – I expect we’ll work out and I’m glad to see it’s built into the schedule.
- Colorado is dope. I travel to Colorado fairly regularly for work and have started to really love how gorgeous it is there. Colorado in June? PERFECT!
Have you ever been to a blog conference? What was your experience like?
