Eat Pray Run DC Gift Guide: For the men

December 12, 2013 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC12 Comments

Gift Guide Men

Eat Pray Run DC Gift Guide continues! This week, I’m recommending gifts for the men in your life.

  1. The Mophie. What’s a mophie? It’s an iphone case that will charge the phone! This is the perfect gift for K, who’s phone is FOREVER on 2% and dying.  Get this for the man in your life who is just a bit forgetful and always has a dead phone!
  2. You can never go wrong with a nice scarf. I suggest something like this from Banana Republic.
  3. Tickets to a game. Basketball season is just getting started, so think about getting your favorite guy two ticket’s to a game — and because you are an awesome [wife / girlfriend / mom / sister] give him both tickets and tell him to take one of his friends.
  4. A video game. Always a good reliable standby. I have no idea what the new games are out right now, but I’m willing to bet whoever you are buying for does!
  5. A supportive, active gift. Is your husband yearning to learn to play the guitar? Buy him a lesson package! Is your son dreaming of studying abroad in Rome? A Rosetta Stone language class it is! You get the idea – purchase something that can help them make a dream come true. It sounds cheesy, but I bet they will love it!

What are you getting the man in your life?

Great ideas! I like to focus more on “experiences” than on “things”. We all have too many “things”. I got my husband concert tix to see one of our favorite artist.

love this, courtney! i’ve definitely done the tickets to a game gift before – that mophie idea is great! might have to get one for myself 😉 i just started dating my guy so i’m not going too crazy with a gift – he loves iron maiden and i found iron maiden themed pint glasses on etsy for cheap. i figure two things he loves – beer and maiden – in one. points for meeee 🙂

That sounds like a perfect present for a newer relationship. Glad to hear it’s still going well with your guy! 🙂

Great ideas! People seem to love the mophie. I’ve done game tickets a couple times, but am too big of a sports fan and not awesome enough to not keep one for myself, haha. Totally agree on focusing on experiences though – love it and think those make great gifts!

Nice list! I’m already getting my husband a video game (you’re right, a man will definitely let you know which one he wants!) and I just might have to get him some Sixers tickets now! Thanks for the idea!

Ugh, men are ridiculously hard to shop for. My brother and dad are easy thankfully, but the man friend is a whole ‘nother story.
