I can’t believe I’m two months into training and only a bit over two months to go. Time is flying and I’m getting excited!
Total mileage for this training cycle: 456.71
I’m ready to really ramp it up for the last couple months of marathon training – how is your training going?

It sounds like your training is going well! I ran the first of the two big races I’m training for this spring. The weekend’s trail race went really well; now if I could only figure out how to train at altitude for the Grand Tetons Half.
Thanks for the linkup!

It is! Today was not great but I’m moving forward and ready for the next couple months! Thanks for linking up!
Looks like you are ready for the big ramp-up…look at those sub-8 miles! This was a “getting back on track” week for me – a medical procedure derailed me for the couple of weeks prior. It actually went better than I expected, fingers crossed for more positive momentum in the coming week.
Crossing my fingers for you!!
Sub-8!! So excited for you. Next girls’ trip, let’s do a run and yoga 😉
Ha – it was painful, lol. And yes, that’d be great!
Your training is going so well! Sorry to hear about the race yesterday and hope that you are feeling better now.
Thanks – I am! I’ve shaken it off and am moving on!
I’m sorry to hear that yesterday’s race was a difficult one for you. Just remember that not every race is going to be “the best” for us in terms of performance. We all have bad days. I’m sure that you’ll have a better race day at the next one.

Thanks! I’ve shaken it off and moved on!
I’m glad your training and buildup are going well so far! I’m glad you got to share the 5K with a friend too, even though the Cherry Blossom was a hard race (I heard it was really cold and the conditions were rough, though). I hope that you are having a good recovery from it and that you’re at least not injured and able to get back to running and training this week!
Thanks – it was cold but I think I just had a bad day. Can’t blame the weather on that one. But I’m over it and moving forward!
Great work this week! I have heard great things about the Grandma’s Marathon – and the Cherry Blossom! Great work!
Thank you – Cherry Blossom is one of my favorite races!
I was so happy I got to see you briefly Sunday morning!
Not being able to express your fitness in a race is frustration. I feel for you. I had a whole year of races in 2015 that went that way. I know you’ll be able to put it behind you and move forward.
Now that Cherry Blossoms is over I”m shifting gears to training for the Pittsburgh half marathon in early May. I’m a little apprehensive because the 10 miler was tough on me me. My stamina just wasn’t there.

Thank you! I was SO happy to see you briefly. Hope your race was great! You will do great in Pittsburgh. The wind was pretty tough on the back half of the ten miler – that was challenging!
Great job on your training, the speed work sounds intense! I’m happy that my training is finally winding down, LOL!
