March 2015 Goals

March 2, 2015 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC52 Comments

Last month, for the first time, I shared some goals for the month. I really liked that and so I’m going to continue doing it. I’ll review last month’s goals and share the goals for this month. Here we go! For February, I wanted to run three times a week, go to Pure Barre three times a week, organize my days before going to bed at night, cook more and keep up with my PT exercises. I’m really excited to share how I did!

  • Run three times a week. I ran at least three times every week. There were two weeks in which I ran four times (one of those runs being pretty short, but it still counts). I’m really pleased with this.
  • Pure Barre three times a week. I went to 17 Pure Barre classes in the month of February. I’m feeling stronger and more balanced and just really loving Pure Barre these days.
  • Organize tomorrow’s day. I made checklists for myself each evening to focus on the next day and it worked!
  • Cook more. Not only did I cook more, I even tried my hand at baking (which I pretty much never do).
  • PT exercises. I did really well in this area as well. I had my last regular PT appointment and will be going back in for a follow up in a month. I’ve really taken everything I’ve learned to heart and think it’s making me a stronger runner.

I’m not going to give myself a grade or anything, but I’m going to call February a success in terms of the goals I set for the month!

March Goals

March goals!

  • Build my mileage back up in preparation for the Cherry Blossom 10 miler. I will be sharing my training plan later this week, so be on the lookout for that!
  • Pure Barre is hosting a 20 in 31 challenge – take 20 classes in the month of March. I am SO on it.
  • Practice more patience. I have been more impatient than normal lately and I’d like to work on that. I think it’s a result of feeling just a little bit behind in a number of different areas (work, home, church responsibilities, etc.) and so I’m hopeful that since I’m finally feeling somewhat caught up, that will help me to be more patient.
  • I’d like to be more intentional in staying in touch with my friends. I have such wonderful friends and I don’t like when weeks go by and I don’t talk to them or see them (if they are local). I’m going to vow to be more intentional about that this month!

What are your goals for March?

Wow, you rocked February! Great job! My goal for March is to just stay healthy so I can have a great time in Paris πŸ™‚ Also to be more patient with the boys. They have been home a LOT with all of the snow days (including today) and I”m so over it. I find myself losing my patience with them a lot unfortunately.

Wow, you killed your goals during February. While I don’t set specific goals for the month, I do have a rough plan in my head of what I would like to accomplish. My biggest downfall is my lack of organization in the kitchen. I need to handle food prep and meal planning better!

I like your goal about staying in touch with friends. I’m not so good about that. I have so much on my plate, and that seems to fall by the wayside…

Good job on sticking with your Feb goals!

You had a stellar February! It’s a challenge to keep everything going on so many fronts. My goal this month is to build some endurance base for my April races. My focus on strength and swimming has sidetracked that.

I’d like to keep building and try harder to run 3 times a week. My PT wants me running 3 times a week but sometimes I let that slide and only do 2.

DANG, girl!! 17 Pure Barre classes? Oh, you’ve got this 20 class thing, then; that is so awesome! Kudos on sticking with your goals and making some even bigger ones for March – woo hoo! My goal is to NOT do every race this month and give my body some time to recover after two marathons in 9 weeks. Good grief. There are three races I’d love to do in March, I just don’t think it’s a great idea. I would also love it if Spring would get here – ha! Hope your week is off to a great start!

I could definitely be better about staying in touch with my friends too (so I may have to borrow that goal!) I’d also like to work at increasing my mileage and continue to improve on my cross-training.

Wow, nice job on meeting and exceeding your goals! This month I am setting one small goal for myself: drink enough water. I have accomplished some other things in February like getting back into exercising, attempting to get into running (not working out so well), and to try and control my disordered eating. I still need to work on those goals so sticking to something small for March is best for me I think.

Patience is my word for the year. Through all my trials and chaos with my kids and my husbands travel schedule, I find it extremely difficult sometimes to remain patient and level headed. But keeping that focus is the only way some times. When I get bombarded, I just have to give it to God and trust him.
    Have a great week.
