Road ID Giveaway!

September 4, 2013 By: project30in201240 Comments

To celebrate 400 likes on my Facebook page, I decided to do a giveaway of a product I believe in. Today’s giveaway is a Road ID. Before we get to the giveaway, a little background…

A while back, I was chatting with a good friend of mine who I hadn’t seen in awhile. As we were catching up, I mentioned that I was just starting to train for my first marathon. My friend asked me if I was wearing a Road ID and when I told him no, he said that he’d send me some info on it and that he really thought I should invest given all the long runs I’ll soon be doing. I learned that Road ID is meant to share critical information in the unfortunate event that you are injured or incapacitated during a workout or run. Since I’m often convinced I’m going to die on tough runs, clearly I needed one.

You might be wondering, what exactly is a Road ID? Well…

Road ID is a durable, rugged, athletic, fashionable line of identification gear. Currently, we offer 6 different forms of ID: the FIXX ID, the Shoe ID, the Ankle ID, the Wrist ID Sport, the Wrist ID Elite, and the Shoe Pouch ID. We provide various forms of ID to allow a person to decide where they want to wear their vital Identification. We encourage active people who participate in outdoor activities to wear ID and not take the chance of being unidentified in the event of an accident. It is far better to wear ID and never need it than to need ID and not have it.

My Road ID looks like this:

Mine looks like this but in purple.

Mine looks like this but in purple.

Since I ordered my Road ID, I’ve worn it on every single run or walk I’ve done. I truly do feel safer knowing that if anything happens, my family will be notified and I will be identified. Even if you don’t win my giveaway, I highly encourage you to order a Road ID of your own!

Now on to the giveaway!
a Rafflecopter giveaway

* I was not compensated for this post nor was I provided with a Road ID in exchange for this review / giveaway. I am celebrating 400 likes on my Facebook page by sponsoring this giveaway. I believe every runner / cyclist /etc should be wearing a Road ID.

I think this is a great idea, especially because my phone is usually locked with a code. If something did happen, no one would be able to figure out who I “belonged” to! I am bad about carrying my ID, so this would be a great product to have! Congrats on 400 FB likes!

I used to run with my license in my spibelt, but I’ve since lost my spi-belt. So I haven’t carried anything, and I’ve been thinking how dumb that is. I hear the best things about Road ID!

Congratulations! What a great milestone. I sadly don’t run with any ID most of the time. I know, I know…

If I’m on a long run, I usually carry my ID and my medical card on the offchance that something goes wrong. However, I usually have to stow these things in my bra and by the end of the run it’s not a pleasant experience. A Road ID would be so much better!

I do NOT currently run with a Road ID. I never think about getting one until I go for an outdoor run and then I think … “I really, really need to get one of those!!!”

I have the pouch that attaches to my shoe. That way I can stick cash, credit card, hotel key, house key or whatever in there in case of emergencies, too!

I never saw a need for a Road ID, I didn’t think I ran “far enough” for one. But then on the day of the Boston Marathon I was at the finish line cheering on two friends, and the only way my friend was able to call his parents after we united was because he had their number on his bracelet. I put in an order the very next day.

I need something to wear during my runs. I know I should, but the budget just isn’t allowing any “extras” right now. Most of the time I just stick my license under my bra strap lol

I love my Road ID but would also like to have another one that is a big larger. I currently wear the smallest one and I like the ID’s with a thicker band. Mine is pink like yours! 🙂

I have a RoadID on my running shoe, and I love it. However, I just realized I took it off to put on my new no-tie laces for my triathlon and haven’t put it back on! I really want a wristband type since I need to have some sort of ID when I’m biking and don’t have my running shoes, and because I may get a second pair of exercise shoes for other activities or just to rotate running shoes.
