Wedding Wednesday: IT’S HERE!

June 11, 2014 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC48 Comments

Happy Wednesday! This is my last Wedding Wednesday post as a single gal – I can’t believe it (although I will continue to share some wedding pictures, recaps of the day and my wedding planning tips). I’m so excited about this upcoming weekend, so I thought for this week’s Wedding Wednesday, I’d share some of the things I’m most excited about! Per usual, I’m linking up with Jordon, Meredith and Mary and hope you’ll check out their blogs.

Wedding Wednesday- Shoes + a Veil

I am looking forward to…

  1. Marrying the only man I can ever imagine sharing my life with. Despite all the pre wedding stress, I have no doubts about our relationship and no doubts about him. I love him so much and can’t wait to share that love with 150 of our nearest and dearest.
  2. Spending time with my favorite people in the whole wide world! YES! I can not wait to spend a whole weekend with my favorites — starting off on Thursday, when my girls start to trickle in.
  3. Looking really pretty and getting to dance with said favorite people. Need I say more?
  4. Declaring before God, my family and friends my vows to K. I’m so thrilled that our Executive Pastor will be marrying us. K and I love our church, so we are so happy that leaders at church are able to be a part of our day.
  5. Seeing K’s face as I walk down the aisle. There may or may not be a bet between my future sister in law and I if he will cry. πŸ™‚
  6. The wobble. Because you haven’t wobbled until you’ve wobbled with my mother. Seriously. πŸ™‚

 Any last minute tips???

My photographer told us to keep looking at our watch…it helped to slow down time because the whole event will be a blur. It totally worked!! So excited for you!

Enjoy every second! Take a few minutes during your reception (after everyone has started to dance) to sit down with your new Hubby and just take it all in and enjoy people watching for 5 minutes. It is awesome to see all your family and friends having a great time. Oh and don’t sweat it if something is not exactly to plan – just go with it as you are pretty much the only one that will know. Your guests will not.

No matter what, have fun and enjoy your special day. Sometimes things don’t go as plan (aka there was something’s not decorated as I wanted or liked) but in the end those things don’t matter. So happy for you!

Wahoo!!!! Wedding Week! It was such an amazing week for us, and I wish you nothing less. The only advice I have is that when it’s all over, write it down! Everything from the week – you’ll love to look back on it! Also, take a few minutes for yourself amid the hustle bustle. Fifteen minutes of quiet does a world of wonders!

Most importantly, have so much fun! Judging by your list, you have the best mindset! I’m so excited for you and can’t wait to read all about your special day!!! πŸ™‚

Enjoy the moment. Take deep breaths to calm your nerves. Take everything in; it goes by quickly. Spend as much time as can with your guests. The time spent with them creates memories you will always have.

When I see you next week you will be totally married!!

Also I love the Wobble haha. It’s my favorite.

Congrats!!!! That’s so awesome that it’s finally here!!!! My only advice is to make sure that there’s a moment during your wedding day where just the two of you can be alone – even if it’s for like 1 minute in a coat closet or something. I know that sounds like I mean you guys should hook up but that’s not what I mean – I mean that the day will go by so quickly and you’ll be spending it with so many people but just being alone for that 1 minute makes it so real. We skipped having a receiving line after the ceremony and went back to the bridal suite for private cocktails and apps. It only lasted like 5 minutes but it was so amazing just reflecting on the fact that we were finally married! I can’t wait to see pictures!
