Wedding Wednesday: Bridal Shower #2

May 14, 2014 By: Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC10 Comments

I was blessed to have a second bridal shower this past weekend and I’m sharing all the details for Wedding Wednesday! I’m linking up with Jordon, Meredith and Mary and hope you’ll check out their blogs. My mother hosted an amazing shower and two of my girlfriends took the reins over the games. It was such a fun day!

bs decor picJust like shower #1, our wedding colors were a guide for the decor. I loved it. And those cupcakes were AMAZING! My bridesmaid L and my friend N, did a fantastic job picking out fun games for us to play. We did wedding mad libs, which was hilarious and I will save those cards forever. We also did that newlywed type game where N had asked K all these questions and then I had to give the same answers. If I got it right, I got a Hershey kiss. If I was wrong, I had to chew this rock hard piece of gum (for EVERY wrong answer). I swear there were about 20 questions and some of the answers really demonstrated what a special man I’m marrying. For example:

Q: What is K’s biggest pet peeve?

My A: rude people

K’s A: injustice.

Um, excuse me?? Since when is injustice a pet peeve?? I mean, come on. I refused the gum on that one, lol. We also learned that K apparently has a desire to visit Ghana (um, except he doesn’t) and that my thighs are his favorite physical feature of mine (no comment on that one, lol). It was hilarious. Apparently my mama insisted that we do the toilet paper wedding gown game where the guests are divided into teams and each team dresses a “bride.” The gowns ranged from quite beautiful to…very “unique” πŸ™‚

So.much.fun. We also played catch phrase with wedding words. It was such an amazing time and I was so happy that my grandmother and aunt were able to travel down from New Jersey. Such a blessing – I had the best time! And of course I wore my paper hat with pride:

What was your favorite game at your bridal shower?

Looks like so much fun! We also played the tp dress game at mine and it was so funny! My favorite game is a play on pin the tail on the donkey, called Pin the Bling on the Ring! My little cousins loved it and we all giggled throughout! So fun! Glad you enjoyed your shower and jealous that you had two!! πŸ™‚

Hey those dresses look pretty good! At mine, we played a game where we all had to put a paper plate on top of our heads and draw, without looking, what my future house would look like. It was hilarious.

we didnt do bridal shower games, but we did do a jeopardy game at my bachelorette party and each level was a more horrific level of alcohol (like you I had to refuse some)

I played that same gum game at my bridal shower! It was pretty bad. My husband gave the most ridiculous answers as well so I had a ton of gum in my mouth!
